CARV leather bags, backpacks and accessories are designed and entirely handcrafted in our leather workshop on the North Devon/Cornwall border.
The CARV studio is an original oak-framed building with straw-bale insulated walls constructed by community volunteers, surrounded by the stunning natural coastal landscape of the Hartland Peninsula - the perfect place for inspiring beautifully sustainable designs.
We now welcome visitors to the CARV studio as a shop with regular weekly hours. The studio is within our smallholding where we also grow food in a soil friendly no-dig way, manage willow and hazel coppices, and are in the process of creating meadows, wilderness, an organic fruit orchard and edible forest. It’s well worth a visit.

Studio & Shop Opening Hours
The CARV studio is currently open weekly on Friday 11 - 2pm and Saturday 11 - 4pm. If you can’t make this we would be delighted to open for you outside of these times - please get in touch with CARV here to arrange a visit.
For those further afield, the online leather goods store is always open and leather samples can be sent out free of charge.
